Narnia is one of my faves, so me loving this collection was basically a foregone conclusion. The scents are all terrific - the spicy mint of the White Witch really captures the essence of the character and her scenes. My favorite is Four Thrones Prophecy. I love the mix of amber, violet, and patchouli. I'm going to have purchase these in full size!

I love most of the scents of these candles. I think my only issue is that the scent is incredibly subtle and doesn’t impact a large area. I’m a person that likes a strong scent, so it’s unlikely I’ll purchase more unless they are on sale.

A review of the current Winter 2020 collection “Always Winter Never Christmas”
Size: My preference for any Mythologie candle is the sample size. Why? I use candles for meditation for a limited amount of time (5-10 minutes) So, I prefer the smaller ones to prevent “tunneling”. So my review is going to be based on the samples. I do buy the larger candles too, but only if they would be appropriate for the sitting room (living room) area of the house.

The Lamp Post
Category: Forest/Citrus/Fruity
Room Recommendation: Sitting room/entryway/office
This candle is a beautiful one for Christmas time as it has a similar scent to Christmas themed candles (But with more layers). This candle would be a winter version of “Tree Nymph Palace” or “The Spriggan” with a bit of “The Enchanted Grove”. If you like those, you will definitely enjoy this winter take. The fruit scent is not overpowering at all and compliments the forest (fir) scent. This is an interesting and festive candle that you won’t want to miss out on.
Tea with a Faun
Category: Floral/Sugar/Musk
Room Recommendation: Bathroom/Sitting room
This candle is an interesting mix of a floral and sugar scent. It is a unique scent that I can’t give any other candle recommendations from. Granted, I dislike sandalwood (as it smells “fresh” to me). So not my favorite candle. If you like your sandalwood, this is your candle.
The White Witch
Category: Spicy
Room Recommendation: Sitting room/Kitchen
Now THIS is an interesting candle. It has a “fiery” spice sent to it. The peppermint really comes through on this one. By reading the description, I thought it was going to be a winter “Bree’s Spice Market”. But this one is more akin to “Samhain Harvest” as it is more of a two-note smell. Bree’s has more layers to the scent in my opinion. If you like a good peppermint smell, this is the candle for you.
Turkish Delight
Category: Floral/Citrus
Room Recommendation: Bathroom/Bedroom
This is a “light” candle (as opposed to a heavy scent). It smells like a sweet rose but with just a hint of lemon to ground it. I would recommend getting the larger candle of this one because it isn’t as potent of a scent. But, with a delicate scent like this one, it is much better enjoyed with just a hint in the air rather than a punch to the face. If you like your rose scents (like me) then this one is a definite win.
Four Thrones Prophecy
Category: ???
I don’t know why, but this smells like deodorant to me. I gave it to my sister and she said the same. That being said, it isn’t bad, that is just what my brain associates this candle with. This candle confuses me.
The Trees are Listening
Category: Forest/Woodsy
Room Recommendation: Sitting room
My personal favorite out of the collection is this. If you enjoyed “Fae of the Forest” or “The Spriggan”, this is the candle for you. It has a nice pine and woodsy smell that reminds me of my walks in the pine and cedar forests while camping. Though, if it smelled as good as this candle, you would never get me to come back to civilization.
Overall, this was a pretty good collection. The scents are experimental which is true to the Mythologie brand. I was able to compare a few to past collections, but honestly these candles stand on their own. The Trees are Listening and The Lamp Post are probably my favorites.
For gifting, “The Lamp Post” is an absolute banger. I think it would be an excellent late Christmas gift if you forgot someone this year. The attitude is classic holiday season but with SO much more body to it.

I bought these for my friend and she loved them, the only exception being the Turkish Delight but she doesn't like Turkish delight anyway so that's okay. Decent price for six candles and the packaging was amazing even if it did take longer because of the holiday back ups, not Mythologie's fault at all, other wise they were very good at keeping me well informed for through the whole process and I will definitely be ordering more things in the future. 4/5 stars because the turkish delight didnt smell the way it was supposed to but that's just my opinion.

These candles are the most amazing scents I have ever purchased! The packaging was so magical to unbox and the candles themselves still have that sense of magic about them, even out of the box. All of the scents are on pointe; none are too strong and the notes are clear in each candle. After lighting them all, I ordered my top three favorites in the 10 oz size ( they were all my favorites so I had to make choices). They burn so cleanly and are just so magical to have sitting around the house.

I am just blown away by these candles, they really do take you places! The spicy mint of the White Witch took me back to childhood, the amber and patchouli of Four Thrones Prophecy made me think of museums I've visited. The Lamp Post is the epitome of what I've always wanted as a winter scent with Fir, cedar and just enough sweetness. Tea with a Faun was the most soothing thing I've smelled in a very long time - tea and a very soft musk. I'm somewhat regretting giving the other 2 scents as gifts, but I'm sure they will love them as well!

I absolutely love the scents of these candles. They’re subtle not overwhelming. When you walk into the room, it smells delicious but it doesn’t overpower like other scented candles. They transport to another time; which is why I love burning them while I work, they calm me. I also love that they’re animal friendly. You have to be careful burning scent around our furbabies. I trust these and love the sample sets. Truly a great product that I will be buying for a long time.

I ordered your autumn sample pack and really liked them! One or two were a little “quirky” for me, but overall they were very nice. I just received the winter collection this week, and I love them all! In fact, I’m gathering my candles for winter, so I just ordered the Tale Inspired collection. This collection is an EXPERIENCE. I love all the scents but I’m personally the most partial to The Trees Are Listening and The Lamp Post. I’m always a fan of woodsy scents. You know I haven't even lit them yet but I have to say I already love them. The scents are delicate yet thoughtful and recognizable without being overpowering. Also I'm usually not a fan of sweet scents (because so many companies are vanilla obsessed) but these are so tastefully done and clean smelling. And of course the packaging is very nice too. Tysm!
