⚓ Captain's Quarters
Leather bound charts, well-crafted furnishings of gleaming oak and brass glint in the light streaming from salt-stained windows. An ancient sailor, wise in the ways of the seven seas, plots his course for exotic lands.

🌴 Forbidden Jungle
A sharp spade cuts through the earth tossing aside damp soil and also fragments of bone. With a thud it hits thick wood. A sailor's curse is carved upon the chest's lid. Open if you dare. Notes of damp earth, fresh palm leaves, and cooling aloe.
🌊 Shipwrecked 🌊
A raft of sun-bleached wood bobs along the waves. An island beckons on the horizon, the scent of land and trees wafting over the waters, promising shelter and rest. Notes of driftwood, patchouli, and cedarleaf dried in the tropical sun.
🐬 Hidden Lagoon 🐬
Dark storm clouds loom in the distance, but here sun shines on sparkling waters as dolphins dance upon the waves.

Plunder
Mood: Gold, gems, and ancient artifacts shine in the light of a lantern deep within the darkened hold. Bags of precious sugar and flasks of sweet oils promise to fetch a fine price.
Smells Like: Freshly harvested cocoa bean, sweet sugar cane, and luxurious cashmere woods.
Lanterns sway from the beams, casting long shadows across the hold. Footsteps echo as the captain crosses to the cargo.
Ancient chests overflow with gold and gemstones. Bolts of luxurious textiles and sacks of rare seasonings are stacked beside them, a ransom for a king. Hard-won spoils from a bloody campaign that will now enrich the coffers of himself and his crew.
The captain places a bottle of wine, a tribute to the sailors who spilled their blood to secure this treasure. The wealth costs much.

The Kraken
Mood: Tentacles grasp the barnacled sides of the wooden ship. Timbers groan and crack as the cries of sailors rise above the abyss of dark waters.

In the abyssal depths where sun cannot reach, an ancient being stirs from its rest. Its tentacles uncurl as it rises for the first time in centuries. Floating through the murk, it hears the garbled, distant voices of sailors, singing as they go about their tasks on the surface above. Blissfully unaware of what awaits beneath their ship.
Arms snake above the surface. The sailors cry in terror as the unyielding embrace surrounds their vessel. The ship moans. Panicked men throw themselves into the waves. The dark waters froth as limbs thrash and flail.
A mighty crash, one last strangled cry, and only debris floats upon the slowly calming waves. The monster returns to its dark rest, satiated.
Allow this candle to illuminate the ocean depths where monstrosities lurk and time-lost horrors lie. Madness and terror threaten those who would dare disturb the Kraken's slumber.
Blackbeard
Mood: The captain raises his tankard above the squabbling crew. To the sea. To adventure. To conquest.

As the sails unfurl, the captain steps on the deck. His heavy leather boots tread confidently across the weather-worn boards as his words stir the hearts of his crew. Another conquest, another voyage, another chance at glory and gold.
He speaks of ports of call, of the pleasures that await them there. He speaks of wealth, of the treasure they will find and the luxuries it will buy them. He speaks of valor, of the bravery of his men, of his own determination to fight at their side.
"A toast to our voyage, to our success, to our ship!"
They cheer at his rousing words. Sailors roll out a cask of drink then fill the flagons high. With a mighty shout, they toast their captain's healthy and the luck of the ship. The seas will carry them to fame and fortune.
