So far, The Alchemist is my first Mythologie candle love. It smells exactly as described and wraps me in the memory of how much I love to smell a good men's cologne but also adds the delight of transporting me to my memories of the different smells of the spring of summer woods I used to love exploring as a teenager, especially pleasant with a boyfriend too. Perfect lifting scent that makes my home office inviting and fills my day with happiness.

I recently received my first two candles as I wanted to try these out...I got the Alchemist and Brees Spice Market....I tried the Alchemist first...unbelievable throw through my little house with a fabulous aroma... in fact I burned it two days in a row for many hours and even after the candle had hardly gone down at all. These will last a long time!!!! Brees Spice is delicious but I didn't find as strong as Alchemist...but lovely non the less. Very impressed with these. The little popping sounds from the burning wood wick is cool too.
Also thanks for your vid on the wick and using a nail clipper to trim as needed...I found out scissors do not work!!

I was so excited to receive The Alchemist and it did not disappoint! It smells warm and comforting (sandalwood and amber are two of my favorite scents) and with the crackling wood wick, you can close your eyes and use your imagination! It’s obvious the ingredients are high quality, and the packaging is beautiful! I know I’ll order this candle again along with more from the vast selection!

This is a lovely candle that made me feel like an explorer in a distant land where the wind carries spices, and subtle flowers, woods and hints of lemons. I just love how this made the house smell. It's my favorite so far but there are more I'm trying soon-I'm pretty positive I'll like all of them and being my favorite will be solely based on the daydreams I'm wanting to bring to life at the moment.

I originally was going to get my Fiancé the sample pack of the lord of the rings themed candles. Jerk beat me to it though & bought them himself! He gave me the double breakfast one though which I loved. I then decided to get the alchemist candle instead for him which he insisted he wanted. I have never been so lovingly treated after purchasing a company's product than I have, by Leah of Mythology Candles! I bought the Alchemist candle a little while ago, and had it sent to my daughter in a different state. She had mentioned it as a possible Christmas gift and I just knew she was dying to own one. Since then the astoundingly personal service of Mythology Candles has kept me informed about my order, the shipment, and the arrival of my gift (specially marked to be saved for Christmas). Her two little kids are going to be amazed at the aroma, and will probably tell me about it next time we get together (which won't be soon). For all I know, her husband's wishes also played a part in this gift. I'll make a point of asking him after the holidays.

I purchased the Alchemist candle and not only do I love the scent, but I think the wood wick and artwork on the label make it the coolest candle I have ever seen. Leah, you are just so creative!
The scent is very subtle and not overpowering at all and when I burn it while I am working, I feel like it just creates a sort of ambiance in the room.

Love the look and how the candle smells. I know the products that are used on these candles are high quality. But I can’t buy anymore because the candles are small for the money I paid. Again I know the ingredients are expensive and I love the candles but this is my one and only I’ll be buying.

The scent of this candle is amazing. Exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. My favorite part is the wooden quick that cheerily crackles as it burns. It's like magic how it is converted in flame but never burns away. Well done, I'm a fan.

This candle is an experience. Upon first smell before lighting it smells strongly of cinnamon. Alas when lit the candle carries more of a combination of scents containing clove and patchouli.

This is cinnamon - but not the cinnamon that assaults your nose when you walk into a lame, pro-life, suburban, mega-chain craft store between October 1st and January 5th. This cinnamon is very carefully balanced with leather and earth. It’s dark and mysterious; it also has a distinct green + dirt note. It is rich, it is complex - I hate cinnamon... but I love this candle.

I ordered 6 candles to get me through chemotherapy for Breast Cancer. When I saw The Alchemist, I thought it was made just for me! When it came I grabbed it as we get in the car heading to the hospital for tests. My sister loved it as much as I did, I told her to keep it and I would order more! And now they are sold out! You better get that Alchemist to work making more straight away! It was the best scent yet!

The Alchemist is a magical laboratory of scents that fill the air with Autumnal wonders. For lovers of patchouli, this will not disappoint. This candle is sweet with overtones of spice and resin, a little earthy, and reminds me of coming home to a holiday hearth fire after walking in the woods on a clear frosty night full of stars and moonlight. In fact, I find this scent to be incredibly calming. I felt my whole body unexpectedly relaxing as I was writing at my desk. I actually stopped for a few moments just to close my eyes and take in the smell. The wax melts beautifully and evenly. The wick does indeed crackle like a hearth log. Thanks to all the amazing elves who have fulfilled all of our orders with care and perfection!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect scentwise when I ordered this candle. I was unable to imagine, from the description, what it would smell like. However, I fell in love with it after I read the story, and I knew that I had to have it. I was not disappointed when it arrived! It has a gentle, warm, and smokey cinnamon scent that is perfect for the Autumn season. It makes my home feel so magical and cozy!
