Mood: Beneath the midsummer moon, fae folk dance upon the green grass, flowers in their hair, light in their eyes.
Smells Like: Sweet pear and agave nectar drizzled over soft flowers, on a bed of resinous glowing amber.
As the nights grow shorter, the air grows warm. When the full moon rises, the fair folk emerge from their hidden haunts to dance within its silver lights. Pipes and drums sing out in a merry tune as elves and fairies, sprites and nymphs, begin to twirl and sway, dancing to the music.
Sparks fly from fingertips and flowers sprout where toes touch the grass. Goblets of sweet wine pass from hand to hand and laughter swells to reach the branches of the trees.
The mortals know not to disturb the dance, for to do so risks the wrath of the fair ones. Legends tell of those doomed to dance forever after crossing the boundary into the fairies' realm.
The fae will dance until the sun rises over the green woods. In the morning only a ring of mushrooms will remain on the forest floor, a token of a night of revelry and joy.
