<div style="text-align: center;">When you first step outside you can already hear the festivities in the distance and see the glow of a roaring fire. Above you, vivid green lights dance in the sky, and stars shimmer against the inky black. Your feet crunch through frozen snow as you walk, stopping to watch villagers playing dice games and archery as you pass through. The icy wind on your cheeks is replaced by roaring heat as you step into the longhouse and are greeted with the scent of smoke, spilled spirits, and the sound of laughter and song. You grab your drinking horn and fill it with honey-mead as I pull up a chair at the feast... let the night begin!</div>

Mood: A roaring fire blazes inside our cozy longhouse, where we gather to share feasting, story, and song on this longest night. Smells Like: Bright embers, smoky chips of cedarwood, and fragrant herbs crackling in the flames. ---------- Snow falls softly outside onto the frozen ground outside where a bitter wind shakes the trees and bites the bare skin of any weary traveler fool enough to be out in this weather, but from where I am, I feel only heat on my face from the glowing fire at the center of the room.We gather firewood from deep within the Northern forest and cast bundles of herbs onto the fire to fill our home with the scent of their sweet fragrance. A large spit turns and roasts tonight’s feast as we pour spiced mead and tell epic tales of warriors long since past.

Old Man Winter

Mood: Wrapped in furs, the bearded warrior strides through the forest. A mighty axe upon his shoulders, his keen eyes on the path before him. Smells like: Chopped wood drying by a cozy hearth, bearskin rugs, and drifting vanilla.

The Viking

Mood: Our drinking horns smash together as we laugh, spilling honeyed spirits. Outside a bitter wind shakes the trees, but here we toast to brighter days ahead and the return of the warmth. Smells Like: Strong spirits in a gilded chalice, toasted honey and a hint of smoke.

Skol!

Mood: We set alight wreaths of evergreen leaves and cast them down the snowy hillside, each tree reminding us of the turn of the seasons and the brighter days to come. Smells Like: Notes of spiced red berries ripening in winter, mossy branches, and soft musk. ---------- Each year we watch the seasons turn. The leaves first rust orange, then the trees shiver and release them into the damp earth. Winter brings with it so much beauty, but the nights are harsh and long, so we look toward the sun-filled days ahead and the time when things will grow once more. Our culture is rich with traditions to celebrate the patterns of the earth, and we use the natural world around us to decorate our homes and represent this. We take leaves from the evergreen trees and weave them into a wreath to represent the never-ending cycle of the seasons.

The Solstice Games — Regular 8oz candle

The Solstice Games

Mood: Folded with spices and honey from the summer past, sweet dough is braided intricately and left to rise in preparation for the solstice feast. Smells Like: Golden honey with clouds of soft flour, crushed almonds, and a dusting of cinnamon. Scent Strength: Medium ---------- Customer Reviews "I’m literally obsessed with this candle. It’s my favorite smell, like a comforting bakery." -Stacey "Oh my goodness, how much do I love this candle. Braided Sweetbread is somehow magically sweet and lightly spiced the way actual baked goods are, as opposed to the sickly-sweet artificial-smelling candles more commonly found in stores." -Zarina "I absolutely love this scent. It's very similar to Samhain Harvest from the Mystical Autumn collection, but this one is a bit sweeter. It has a fantastic scent throw and makes any room smell like a delicious bakery." -Aubrey ---------- All summer we work outside with sweat on our brows to prepare for the coming harvest. We keep honey bees in a hive, caring for them and nurturing them in exchange for thick pieces of syrupy honeycomb. The merchants in our village trade with travelers from faraway lands and acquire fragrant spices from over the seas, which we wait to use when winter’s first chill arrives. The grain from our store is ground into soft flour with stone and hard labor, and we knead it to create baked treats for the Solstice celebration.

The Yule Tree

Mood: A celestial display moves through the sky with colors beyond imagination, reflecting the glow of the shields and the armor of the Valkyrie who choose who live and die in battle. Smells Like: Smoky sandalwood with soft patchouli and a dusting of cracked black pepper. ---------- On this, the longest night of the year, the Yule festival begins! When I first step outside I can already hear the festivities in the distance and see the glow of a roaring fire. Above me, vivid green lights dance in the sky, and stars shimmer against the inky black.
