Jutting like a thorn from the frothing sea, a smoking volcano belches dark smoke into the air. Lightning crackles on the underside of the plume as birds take to the air, screeching as they flee destruction.

The plume grows higher, ominous shades of black and purple. Ashes fall upon the shore. At a distance, a sailor on the deck of a great wooden Galleon shades his eyes to watch the destruction, remembering a time when that isle was a safe haven, its forests filled with delectable fruits, its coves a shelter from any storm.

Now tropical trees sway in an otherworldly breeze. A goddess's wrath strikes the island. Never more will her shores be safe.
